These Terms govern your use of Mayoi’s website and learning app. By creating an account or using Mayoi, you agree to them.

Using Mayoi

Mayoi is a Japanese-learning service. You may use it for personal, non-commercial learning. Keep your account credentials secure and do not use the service to break the law, interfere with other users, copy or redistribute our content, or try to access systems or data you are not authorised to access.

Accounts and learning content

You are responsible for the information associated with your account and for activity under it. Mayoi may change, update, or remove learning content and features as the service evolves. The service is educational and is not a promise of any particular learning outcome.

Memberships, offers, and payment

Prices, billing intervals, and any promotional terms are shown before you complete checkout. Paid memberships renew unless cancelled before the next billing date. A promotional free pass gives access only for its stated period and does not renew automatically. We may limit promotions by availability, eligibility, or redemption count.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details. You can request help with a membership, cancellation, or billing issue through our Discord community.

Refunds

Refund requests are considered on their circumstances. Cancelling a membership stops future renewal where possible; it does not automatically refund a completed billing period. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Mayoi available and secure, but it may occasionally be unavailable or change without notice. We may suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or rights holders, or where these Terms are breached.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Mayoi is provided on an “as available” basis. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. This does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as Mayoi changes. The current version will be posted here with its update date. Questions can be sent through our Discord community.
