This policy explains how Mayoi handles personal information when you visit our website or use the learning app.

Information we collect

We collect account details provided through sign-in, such as your email address and authentication-provider identifier. We also store the learning state you create in the app, such as your selected packs and review progress.

When you buy a membership, we receive payment-related records needed to provide access, including Stripe customer, subscription, checkout, and entitlement information. Stripe processes your payment details; Mayoi does not store full card numbers.

We collect limited technical and usage information, such as device and browser information, pages or features used, and diagnostics. We use browser storage for sign-in and learning state, and PostHog for product analytics. We do not attach your email address, authentication token, or learning-state contents to PostHog analytics.

How we use information

We use information to operate and improve Mayoi, authenticate accounts, save learning progress, provide memberships, prevent misuse, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers and overseas processing

We use service providers to run Mayoi, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Stripe for payments, Railway and Cloudflare for infrastructure, PostHog for analytics, and Wistia for the landing-page video. These providers may process information in Australia, Singapore, the United States, and other locations where they or their subprocessors operate. We disclose only what is needed for them to provide their services or where required by law.

Retention and security

We retain information while your account is active and afterwards only as needed for legitimate business, security, dispute, tax, or legal purposes. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can access, update, or delete your account from the app where those controls are available. You may also ask about your information, request a correction, make a privacy complaint, or ask for account-deletion help through our Discord community. We will respond within a reasonable time and explain our decision if we cannot fulfil a request.

Children

Mayoi is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the service if you do not meet the minimum age required to consent to online services where you live.
